Hi! After graduating from LC, I graduated from Whitworth University majoring in education. While attending graduate school in Louisville, KY, I met and married Frank Ellis, who was from New Orleans, La. We moved to Tacoma Washington and then to Spokane in the fall of 1975. Frank wanted to finish graduate school so we returned to Louisville where I worked as a Social Worker for the juvenile court system for three years in a first offenders program. We had two daughters Elisha in 1977, and Jennine in 1980.

After divorcing, I returned to Spokane and worked in business as a recruiter searching for accountants nationwide. We moved to the Seattle area settling in Redmond initially and then Kirkland with me continuing to work as a recruiter. I returned to education by substitute teaching while studying for two master's degrees in School Counseling (SPU) and School School Psychology (SU). I commuted for 6 years from Kirkland while working as a School Psychologist for Clover Park School District in Lakewood, WA. After my girls finished high school, I moved to Spanaway, WA and continued to work as a School Psychologist. I transferred to Bethel School District where I currently work as a School Psychologist in my 20th year. Working with middle school and high school age children currently keeps me busy and fulfilled. If my knees would stop hurting, retirement would not even be a consideration since I really enjoy my work.

My girls have turned into adults and are both happily married. Jennine and her partner have a 7 month old, very active girl named Mya. Elisha and her husband are in the final
stages of adopting a child due 10/1. Like me they are both work-a-holics and love their jobs- Jennine as a mid-manager at Boeing, and Elisha as a director in the running division at Brooks.

For fun, I am an avid reader preferring mysteries, a news junkie, gardener, and continue to enjoy people (friends, co-workers, and family). I'm no longer a gourmet cook since my kids have their own homes and I have to eat whatever I cook. I have two cats who keep me company and who have trained me well. I am looking forward to seeing LC classmates again and learning about their lives.
